For Thanksgiving this year I tried to create a small squash dish by mixing a few recipes together, it ended up being really good! I don’t usually cook, nor do I blog recipes, so cut me some slack. Here’s what I ended up doing:
Ingredients
- 20 oz cut butternut squash
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 TBSP flour
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cup of apple cider
Instructions
- preheat the oven to 350
- mix all the ingredients into some glassware able to withstand the oven’s heat
- cover the glassware in tin foil
- bake for 30 minutes
- uncover the tinfoil
- bake for another 30 minutes
- drain most of the liquid
- broil for 5-10 minutes, until desired crispiness on top
You should be able to easily stick a fork into the squash at the end
